are thousands of fort leonard wood jobs going away?

More than 2-thousand residents from Fort Leonard Wood and the surrounding area gathered with state leaders last night…trying to assess the damage that 54-hundred layoffs at the fort would do. The federal government is looking to reduce troop numbers across the board in the years to come. Fort Leonard Wood Institute Director Joe Driskill says Pulaski county would lose 186 million dollars and 83-hundred people would have to relocate out of the area. The meeting was attended by both Senators McCaskill and Blunt…and former Senator and Governor Kit Bond.
