COMO MAN PLEADS TO REDUCED CHARGES IN WIFE’S DEATH

An 88 year old Columbia man pleads guilty to reduced charges in the stabbing death of his wife. Donald Rowland faces a seven year sentence for involuntary manslaughter for last year’s death of Betty Rowland. Rowland was originally charged with murder in the case. He tried to commit suicide after stabbing his wife and told police the couple wanted to die rather than be a burden to their families.
