fort wood sergeant faces dozens of sex abuse charges

A Ft. Leonard Wood solider faces more than two-dozen assault and sexual misconduct charges.

Shatara Seymour, Fort Leonard Wood Public Information Chief, said Wednesday charges aganist Staff Sgt. Angel Sanchez range from incidences of alleged sexual assault and maltreatment. The charges specify Sanchez attempted to commit indecent viewing, failing to obey lawful regulations and abusive sexual content.

Seymour said Staff Sgt. Angel Sanchez could face 275 years of confinement if convicted. He also could be dishonorably discharged and forced to forfeit all pay and allowances. Sanchez, a solider in the 14th Military Police Brigade, is scheduled for court martial
