mid-mo man dies in crash

Jefferson City man is dead…the passenger in his car badly injured in a wreck on Route C west of Jefferson city yesterday afternoon. The Missouri Highway Patrol says 39 year old Anthony Gilpin and his passenger Frederick Cundiff were both thrown out of the vehicle when Gilpin tried to pass traffic on the shoulder of Route C west of Stringtown Station Road. Gilpin lost control of the car which flipped several times. Gilpin was pronounced dead at the scene…Cundiff was flown from the scene to University Hospital.
