osage sheriff fights for his job

The Osage County sheriff is appealing the state’s ruling that took his peace officer’s license. An attorney for Sheriff Michael Dixon has filed a motion for an immediate stay on the ruling which came down Monday. Right now, Dixon cannot make arrests, but can do administrative work at the sheriff’s department. Under the appeals process, Dixon had thirty days to file an appeal of the Department of Public Safety’s actions.
