Missouri is executing death row prisoners once again. Last night, convicted double murderer John Winfield received a lethal injection just past midnight at the Bonne Terre prison. Winfield’s execution was just the second in the country since the late April botched execution in Oklahoma. In 1996, Winfield shot his ex girlfriend and two of her friends in St. Louis. The ex girlfriend was blinded and survived…the two others died. Winfield’s execution was the fifth in Missouri this year.
