(LOS ANGELES) — A teenage daughter hoping to find her missing father hears the chant, “be a warrior,” in the new trailer for Ava DuVernay’s new movie, A Wrinkle In Time.
The new promo video for the fantasy film, based on the beloved book of the same name, was released New Year’s Day on Facebook.
In the movie, a young girl, Meg Murry, portrayed by 14-year-old Storm Reid, sets out to find her missing father, a government scientist, with the help of three magical celestial beings: Mrs. Which, Mrs. Whatsit and Mrs. Who.
In the trailer, we see Reid looking at a photo of her father, as we hear his words, “What if we are here for a reason? What if we are part of something truly divine? Imagine 91 million light years traveled like that.”
A narrator repeats, “Be a warrior, be a warrior,” as we see images of Murry and the three Mrs. characters, played by Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, and Mindy Kaling.
A Wrinkle In Time opens in theaters March 9 from Disney, the parent company of ABC News.
