Photo by Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images(CANADA) — After previously using social media to report he was missing, Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall took to Twitter on Sunday to announce the sad news that her brother, Christopher Cattrall, has been found dead.
The actress used social media to spread the missing persons report from The Royal Canadian Mounted Police, which had previously noted that the 55-year-old hadn’t been heard from since Tuesday.
According to local outlet RDNewsNow, police found Cattrall deceased on his property, and did not suspect foul play.
Kim Cattrall confirmed the sad news Sunday on Twitter, explaining, “It is with great sadness that myself and my family announce the unexpected passing of our son and brother, Chris Cattrall. At this time we ask for privacy. We want to thank you all on social media for your outpouring of love and support in this trying time.”
