Warner Music NashvilleDan + Shay, Jason Aldean and Brett Young have the best-selling country songs so far this year, according to the Recording Industry Association of America.
Out of all the music released in the first six months of 2018, the RIAA has certified 12 albums and 48 songs either gold or platinum. Dan + Shay’s “Tequila,” Jason Aldean’s “You Make It Easy,” and Brett Young’s “Mercy” are the only country tunes among them.
“You Make It Easy” spent two weeks at #1 in May, while “Tequila” sits at the top of the chart now. “Mercy” just moved into the top ten this week. All three were certified gold back in May.
