ABC/Mark Levine Old Dominion raised $40,000 for charity Tuesday night at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, with a little help from their friends.
Kenny Chesney, Kelsea Ballerini, Michael Ray and Sam Hunt all took their turn on the historic stage, joining the guys primarily to do the hits OD wrote for them.
Kenny offered “Save It for a Rainy Day,” while Kelsea did “I Hate Love Songs” and joined OD for their most recent #1, “Written in the Sand.” Michael delivered his current single, “The One That Got Away,” while Sam served up both “Make You Miss Me” and “Ex to See” from his monster Montevallo album.
Old Dominion went on to add nineteen more songs to their 120-minute set, including the new tunes “Make It Sweet” and “Smooth Sailing.”
“What an unforgettable night,” lead singer Matthew Ramsey reflects. “The Nashville community has given so much to us. Our lives have changed in ways we could never have imagined so we felt like this show at the Ryman was a great way to start giving back.”
“There was so much love and music and history swirling around,” he continues. “We are beyond proud to be able to raise money and help those who need it, along with help from our friends!”
The proceeds from OD’s Ryman show will be divided between the Opry Trust Fund and the Ryan Seacrest Foundation.
