Jimmie Allen gives it his "Best Shot" and hangs on for a second week at #1

Broken BowFor the second week in a row, newcomer Jimmie Allen’s debut single, “Best Shot,” remains at the top of the country chart.

Success is especially sweet for the Milton, Delaware native, since he put in a decade of work to make it happen.

“Looking back on my first 10 years in Nashville, there are definitely days where it would have been easier to quit than to hear ‘no’ for the seventh day in a row,” Jimmie reflects. “But that’s what ‘Best Shot’ is all about: my promise not to give up.”

On Wednesday, Jimmie makes a return appearance on NBC’s Today show, before kicking off Scotty McCreery’s Seasons Change Tour Thursday in Dallas, Texas.
