A Mizzou football senior captain has been arrested for driving while intoxicated, and has bonded out of jail.

Online records from the Boone County Sheriff’s Department say 22-year-old Chad Bailey was booked into the Boone County jail at about 2:45 on Sunday morning. Bailey was released from jail, after posting a $500-dollar bond.

The 22-year-old Bailey was arrested at about 1:20 on Sunday morning. Boone County Sheriff’s Captain Brian Leer tells 939 the Eagle that a deputy was southbound on Providence road near Stewart, when they observed a southbound vehicle with expired registration that failed to drive within a single lane. Bailey was driving the vehicle. Captain Leer says the deputy developed probable cause to believe that Bailey was intoxicated.

Bailey started 11 games last season for Mizzou, finishing with 57 tackles and two-and-a-half sacks.
