Schnucks Markets and its customers have raised $120,000 to support the Urban League through its third annual “Round Up at the Register” event. The campaign celebrated Black History month in February.

Customers donated $113,000, while St. Louis-based Schnucks donated $7,000. Customers in the St. Louis area donated to the Urban League’s “Save Our Sons” program, which aims at helping economically disadvantaged African-American men in the St. Louis region find jobs with livable wages. Customers at Schnucks stores in Columbia and Jefferson City chose to round up their bills to support the Urban League chapter in mid-Missouri or the National Urban League.

Schnucks chairman Todd Schnuck says the stores were honored to again celebrate Black History Month with their partners at the Urban League.
