Columbia man dies in Morgan County crash

A Columbia man is dead after a head-on crash in Morgan County. The Highway Patrol says Michael Paladino, 33, was driving his SUV on Highway 5, near Route MM Saturday night at around 8:30 p.m. His SUV crossed the center line and hit a pickup truck head-on. Transgender healthcare ban, hands-free driving among laws taking effect Monday

There are several new state laws that took effect Monday. Missouri’s ban on transgender health care for minors is one of them. Starting Monday, healthcare providers are banned from performing gender-affirming care to minors, and also cannot refer them to other providers for those procedures.
