a couple of crazy mid – missouri car chases

A man wanted by Versailles police for five years had one last joy ride yesterday. Officers chased 46-year-old Timothy Farr on a motorcycle at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour from the Ivy Bend area of the Lake to Cole Camp. When he reached Cole Camp…Farr tried to take his motorcycle off road near the Dollar General store and crashed. He suffered minor injuries and is in jail on three warrants that are up to  five years old. More charges stemming from the chase will be filed.

Columbia police started a chase for a wanted man yesterday afternoon that finally ended in northwest Missouri. Officers tried to pick up 32- year-old Donald Buckner near the Boone County courthouse. Buckner took off to the Kansas City area. Police there say Buckner robbed two people in the parking lot of a convenience store, then led deputies from three counties and the Missouri Highway Patrol on a chase that reached more than 100 miles per hour and in finally ended in Atchison County in far northwest Missouri. He’s jailed in Jackson County on numerous charges.
