The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) celebrated the success of “Leave the Night On,” the 100% ASCAP co-written and produced debut single from songwriter-artist Sam Hunt. Written by Hunt with Josh Osborne and Shane McAnally, “Leave the Night On” became the highest debuting single from a new artist in the history of the Country Aircheck charts and Sam Hunt’s third #1 as a songwriter. Produced by Zach Crowell, the song also marked Osborne’s fifth #1 hit and McAnally’s seventh chart-topper.
The lead single off Montevallo, Hunt’s major label album debut, “Leave the Night On” went on to sell over one million tracks, making it Hunt’s first RIAA-certified platinum single and his first #1 as an artist. Hunt’s follow-up single, “Take Your Time,” is currently climbing the country radio charts, and he kicks off his sold-out, first-ever headlining tour, the “Lipstick Graffiti Tour,” tomorrow at The Troubadour in Los Angeles.
