Buddy Miller will return to lead the Americana All-Star house band for the upcoming 2014 honors and awards ceremony, which is set to take place on September 17, 2014 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. Miller, an Americana and Grammy award winning singer, songwriter and producer, will bring together some of the finest musicians in the world including Ry Cooder, Don Was, Joachim Cooder, Fats Kaplin, Tim Lauer and the McCrary Sisters to play alongside those nominated for awards this year. Nominees will be announced on May 12, 2014 at 11am PDT, 1pm CDT and 2pm EDT, live on SiriusXM Outlaw Country and streamed via musiccityroots.com.

Miller has always brought together the best instrumentalists available to play in the All-Star Band. “One of the great joys of the Americana Awards show is getting to play with and hear the incredible House Band Buddy Miller has put together,” said Bonnie Raitt, Americana’s 2012 Lifetime Achievement for Performance honoree. “I know all of us wish we could just stop and cut a record right then and there. Just killer and how lucky are we?” In previous years he’s relied on Spooner Oldham, Larry Campbell, Greg Leisz, Brady Blade and Luther and Cody Dickinson to name a few.

For the fourth consecutive year, the Americana Honors & Awards will air as a special ACL Presents: Americana Music Festival 2014, produced in conjunction with High Five Entertainment, KLRU Public Television and Lickonavision (producers of Austin City Limits), later this fall.

Tickets for the Americana Honors & Awards are only available to Americana Music Festival & Conference Registrants, which can be purchased here.
