missouri execution is stayed

Death row inmate Russell Bucklew lives to see another day. The convicted murderer was supposed to be executed over night, but won an eleventh hour stay from U.S. Supreme Court judge Samuel Alito. Bucklew claims to suffer from a rare medical condition that could make the lethal
injection unusually painful. Alito says in his order the full court could weigh
in on Bucklew’s appeal as early as this morning.
