an arrest in connection with a missing jcmo man

A man is behind bars in a Jefferson City missing person case that could be taking a sad turn. JCPD Captain Doug Shoemaker says 25-year-old Adam Moore-Duncan has been arrested for tampering with evidence in the disappearance of 23-year-old Christopher Cray. Shoemaker says odds of finding Cray alive are dwindling.

“We always hold out hope that we’re going to have a safe return of a missing person of any kind, but as the evidence has evolved, certainly that investigation has turned to more suspicious motives possibly,” says Shoemaker.

He says Cray was last seen in late may in Jefferson City, driving his car with several people in it. Since that time Cray has missed his birthday, and the birth of a child which Shoemaker says is very uncharacteristic of him. Anyone with information is asked to call police immediately.
