jcmo man arrested after firing a shot into the air

A Jefferson City man fires a gun in the middle of a crowd. Police say Joseph Garcia’s girlfriend was in a fight near Elm and Jackson last night. Garcia went to his apartment and got a pistol. He threatened people with it, then fired a shot into the air. Captain Doug Shoemaker says Garcia is now in custody for Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and being a felon with a firearm.

No one was hurt in the incident.
