One of three Jefferson City firefighters will be the city’s next fire chief. Interim Chief Jason Turner and fire captains Matt Schofield and and Jay Niemeyer make the short list.

Chief Bob Rennick retired last year and Turner has been running the department since then. A public meeting on the position is set for next Thursday (July 24th) at City Hall beginning at 4:00 p.m.
