you have a new councilman

Laura Ward is Jefferson City’s newest councilman. She was picked last night to fill the unexpired term of Shawn Schulte who’s moving out of the city’s 2^nd Ward. Councilmen chose Ward over former councilman Carolyn McDowell by a 6 – 3 vote. Ward will serve out Schulte’s term which expires next April.
