Jefferson City school officials got an earful this summer from parents concerned about discipline in the classroom. On KWOS Open Air, School Board President Dennis Nickelson says a series of public meetings brought out the need to improve in class, and at home.

Nickelson, who is a retired high school teacher, says the district will put an added emphasis on student behavior at all grade levels this year.
