two holts summit fires overnight

Two apparently unrelated fires cause over a half – million dollars damage in Holts Summit. A pair of semis caught fire at the Pro Foods – Champs Chicken Plant shortly before 3-am today. The rigs .. parked at the building’s loading dock .. were destroyed. The building itself had only minor damage.

New Bloomfield firefighters assisted Holts Summit Volunteers. No one was injured.

Firefighters also battled a blaze at a home on the 600 – block of South Summit Drive. There’s no word on a cause.
