Brandy Clark Signs With Warner Brothers

Brandy ClarkWarner Bros. Records today announced that it has signed Brandy Clark. Clark is currently nominated for New Artist of the Year and Song of the Year (for co-writing Kacey Musgraves’ “Follow Your Arrow), for this year’s CMA Awards, where she will also present.

“I am thrilled to be working with Dan McCarroll and the Warner Bros. LA staff,” said Brandy Clark. “I’m so lucky to have a musical home that embraces and encourages originality and creativity. I’m so excited to be making music with them and look forward to this next step in my career.”

“Brandy is an accomplished songwriter, well-regarded in the country music scene and with multiple No. 1 singles under her belt,” said Dan McCarroll, President, Warner Bros. Records. “I speak for the entire Burbank team when I say how thrilled we are to welcome such a gifted country artist into the Warner Bros. Records family. She’s a tremendous talent with great promise, and we can’t wait to help take her career as a recording artist to the next level.”

Having already established herself as a hit songwriter for a wide range of renowned country artists, Clark released her debut album as a recording artist, 12 Stories, in 2013. The album featured the singles “Stripes,” “Pray to Jesus,” and “Hungover,” and peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart.

Clark has had cuts performed by some of the biggest country artists, The Band Perry recorded her first No. 1 single, “Better Dig Two,” followed shortly after by another No. 1 in Miranda Lambert’s “Mama’s Broken Heart,” which was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 CMA Awards, and for Best Country Song at the 2013 Grammys. She is currently touring the US as part of Eric Church’s ‘Outsiders Tour.’
