jcpd swat team ends standoff

The Jefferson City police call out the SWAT team for a domestic disturbance overnight. The incident started about 11pm with a disturbance call at the Broadmoor Apartments on Ellis Boulevard. When police arrived, witnesses reported they heard gunshots, and a man involved in the disturbance told police he was armed. After about 90 minutes, police were able to talk the man into surrendering. No word on if he was actually armed. The investigation continues.
