Garth Brooks' Canceled Ireland Shows Inspire Play

Garth Brooks planned on kicking off his World Tour with a series of shows in Ireland last year, but with only a couple weeks to go before opening night, city officials refused to grant the country music superstar permission to perform all five concerts in Croke Park, and the entire series was canceled, leaving Brooks, along with the thousands of fans who had already bought tickets for the sold-out shows, sorely disappointed. Now, the entire saga is being captured in a play, set to debut later this year.
