pickpockets hit mid-mo shoppers

Keep a close eye on your purse in Columbia. Police there say a group of talented pick pockets is pilfering purses and wallets right off the shoulders of unsuspecting shoppers. The pick pockets work in teams to distract shoppers with questions while others go through shoulder bags looking for wallets and other valuables. Columbia police say most of the victims are elderly…and carrying their purses in the child seats in shopping carts.
