On their 20th wedding anniversary, Will Smith says he’s “forever devoted” to wife Jada

The Fresh Prince paid tribute to his wife with an emotional Instagram post featuring a photo from their wedding day.

“20 years ago today we held hands and walked naively down that aisle,” Will commented. “Love is like gardening… I have learned to focus on HELPING you to BLOSSOM into what YOU want to be (into what you were born to be)… Rather than demanding that you become what my fragile ego needs you to be.”

The Bright star added, “I’ve learned to take pleasure in nourishing YOUR dreams… Rather than wrestling with you to fulfill my selfish needs & satiate my insecurities.”

Will concluded his post, writing, “Love is listening, love is giving, love is freedom. Happy Anniversary, My Queen! I am forever devoted to nurturing your deepest truth.”

Will and Jada have two children: son Jaden, 19, and daughter Willow, 17. They met in 1994 on the set of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air when Jada auditioned for the role of The Fresh Prince’s girlfriend, Lisa Wilkes. She lost the role to Nia Long.

The couple began dating in 1995, and were married December 31, 1997 in her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland.
