25 #1s into his career, Blake Shelton believes "I Lived It" is his best song ever

Warner Music NashvilleSince he launched his first album back in 2001, Blake Shelton has racked up an impressive 25 number ones. But the Oklahoma native believes his latest single may be his most powerful song so far.

“I feel like ‘I Lived It’ is one of the greatest songs I’ve ever had the chance to record,” Blake says. “This is something that takes me back to my childhood.”

Even though his last single, “I’ll Name the Dogs,” topped the chart and is nominated for an Academy of Country Music Award, Blake thinks “I Lived It” may be even better than the lead single from Texoma Shore.

“That’s the song that really stands out to everybody as maybe the best song on the album,” he says of “I Lived It.” “Depending on, you know, what you’re listening for. But it’s hard to listen to this song without relating to it and having it take you back in time. And it’s hard not to fall in love with this song.”

Blake’s opinions must be on target, because “I Lived It” is currently top ten and climbing on the country chart. Look for him to perform on the 53rd ACM Awards, which air live from Las Vegas, April 15 on CBS.
