I had a dream about David Boreanaz: Cam confesses her obsession with a fellow ACM presenter

ABC/Image Group LA Cam and actor David Boreanaz are both set to present at Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. At first glance, the “Burning House” hitmaker and the star of SEAL Team might not seem to have much of a connection — as far as David knows. But Cam would beg to differ.

“This is probably going to be the most important ACMs of my entire life,” she tells ABC Radio, “because I found out, also presenting is my childhood crush, David Boreanaz. Which, if you don’t know — for the laymen — this is Angel from Buffy, Angel from Angel, the guy from Bones.”

Cam’s already struck a deal with her husband Adam Weaver to account for the attention she’ll likely pay Boreanaz, and it involves another presenter, who’s the star of The Ranch.

“I already told my husband, it’s not personal,” Cam explains. “He started to be like, ‘Hey, wait a second.’ And I was like, ‘Look. You take my picture with David Boreanaz, and I’ll take your picture with Sam Elliot. Sam Elliot’s gonna be there. Adam loves Sam Elliot.”

If you wonder how deep Cam’s affection for Boreanaz is — well, she’s eager to tell you.

“This is the embarrassing one, the embarrassing crush,” she confesses. “Where you have written love letters, you’ve had stuff up on your wall, memorabilia, all your AOL passwords and stuff are that…”

“I am obsessed with him. And he’s gonna be there, and I don’t know what’s gonna happen!” she laughs.

We don’t know that Cam and David will necessarily be presenting together, but you can tune in to see what happens Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, as the 53rd ACM Awards air live from Las Vegas on CBS.
