A felony charge has come down for the former Columbia Public Schools teacher accused of having sex with a student. Sean Diestel had a hearing on Tuesday. The 30-year-old allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student of his at Columbia Area Career Center. Diestel was arrested last month.
