In case you didn’t know, Brett Young has sold millions of copies of his songs.
The ACM winner celebrated his sales milestones Wednesday night with friends, family and colleagues at a pool party outside of Nashville, where he surprised the crowd with a preview of “Here Tonight,” the lead single from his upcoming second album.
Brett was marking the platinum success of both his self-titled debut album and his latest hit, “Mercy” — both have sold more than one million units. Brett’s singles “Sleep Tonight” and “Like I Loved You” are also platinum, while “In Case You Didn’t Know” has been certified for sales of three million units.
The location of the party was particularly important to Brett: It took place at the backyard pool of an executive at his record company, which is where he signed his record deal three years ago.
“It was surreal being back where I first signed my record deal and seeing how much has happened since then,” Brett says. “It’s crazy to think just three years ago I was in the same place just getting started with my team.”
He adds, “I wrote this album from such a vulnerable and honest place, so it means the world that these songs have connected with people the way they have. The time has flown by, and I can’t wait to share the new music with fans soon.”
