Kenny Chesney manages to "Get Along" at #1 for another week

Blue Chair/Warner Bros. NashvilleKenny Chesney‘s record-setting 30th career #1 “Get Along” remains at the top of the chart for a second week, just days before his new album comes out on Friday.

The superstar from East Tennessee is donating all the proceeds from Songs for the Saints to help his beloved Virgin Islands recover from last year’s hurricanes. Kenny’s made the tropical locale his home away from home for some time now.

“This is more personal than anything I’ve done,” he says. “There’s a lot of seeking, hopefully a lot of healing and definitely songs about how we face things. But it’s not dark or heavy. Like ‘Get Along,’ Songs for the Saints is about lifting people up, reminding them what they’re made of.”

Kenny will appear on both ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in the coming days to promote the new album. This weekend, he takes his Trip Around the Sun Tour to Chicago’s Soldier Field.
