Mayor presents “conservative” budget to Jefferson City Council

The Jefferson City Council heard Mayor Carrie Tergin’s first budget presentation Monday night. Tergin said she’s focused on keeping spending down. That could mean older city vehicles, equipment, and buildings may not get the upgrades officials had planned in Fiscal Year 2019. The council has to approve the budget by November 1st.
