Maren Maren delivers the "Rich," behind-the-scenes scoop on the Western video for her latest hit

ABC/Image Group LA If the town in the video for Maren Morris‘s latest hit, “Rich,” looks familiar, it’s because it’s already been the home to several famous Westerns.

“It was this old movie town in Tucson where they shot Three Amigos and Tombstone,” Maren reveals. “It had all these movie posters that they shot at this, like, little movie town. And it rained the whole day.”

In spite of the wet weather, the “Rich” video remains one of Maren’s favorite things she’s ever shot.

“It was the most fun, easy shoot I’ve ever done,” she recalls. “I kind of conquered my fear of horses. I had a very nice horse.”

“I’m just so excited about it,” Maren adds. “It’s the last single from the record, and we get to do this like crazy, bada** Western video for it. And it’s very funny and doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is the meaning of ‘Rich.'”

If Maren has any regrets about the shoot, they may involve her husband, fellow singer/songwriter Ryan Hurd.

“Ryan looks really good in it. Ryan looks better than I do in it,” she laughs. “Ryan has never been in a video of mine, so he’s the cowboy in it.”

“But I basically put everyone I know in it,” she continues. “Like, my manager is in it. My tour manager, Jennifer, plays the sheriff. Ryan’s the love interest, and then I put my band in it. So, I got to look around all day and just laugh at how ridiculous everyone looked!”

Maren’s Western adventure must be working: “Rich” is currently just a couple spots away from entering country’s top ten.
