CurbDylan Scott and his wife Blair are expecting their second child in the fall. The new little one will join big brother Beckett, who celebrated his first birthday in December.
“Secret is out! Baby number 2 coming September 2019!” Dylan announced on his socials, along with a photo of the whole family, dressed in black, holding gold balloons spelling out the word “baby.”
The “Hooked” hitmaker says he and Blair decided that since they’re used to changing diapers and middle-of-the-night feedings, it just made sense to expand their family now.
“Blair came to me when Beckett was less than a year old and said, ‘Why get out of the process now? Let’s just have another kid,’ Dylan tells People.
“I was like, ‘Babe, are you sure you want to do this?’” he continues. “But the more I thought about it, I was thinking that I’m 28 and she’s 29 and we are getting to our 30s.”
“I think it would be really cool for Beckett to have a little sister or a little brother really close in age so they can grow up together. We both want big families.”
Blair broke the good news to Dylan over the holidays, by giving him a special gift at her family’s Christmas gathering. Inside was a pregnancy test and a pair of tiny socks.
The Louisiana native hits the road on Chris Young’s Raised on Country Tour in May, as his latest single, “Nothing to Do Town,” climbs the chart.
