So it follows that his new single would be “Homemade.”
“Home made me love a dirt road/Home made me crave some ice cold homemade/Sweet tea only Mama knows how to make, yeah homemade,” he sings. “Home made me love a small town/Home made me want to settle down/In a home made for the two of us/Everything I love is homemade.”
And Jake is certainly busy making a home this week. His girlfriend Erica Hartlein gave birth to his second daughter, Paris, on Monday. She joins big sister Pearl from Jake’s previous marriage.
“Homemade” is the follow-up to Jake’s ACM-nominated, top ten hit “Down to the Honky Tonk.”
