Legendary western swing outfit Asleep at the Wheel are planning a new album and a series of reunion shows in celebration of their 50th anniversary. Additionally, a documentary film will highlight the upcoming shows and the band’s legacy. The band’s frontman Ray Benson was prominently featured in Ken Burns’ recent Country Music documentary.
Kellie Pickler will headline Music City Christmas, a festive, three-night event featuring the Nashville Symphony, on Dec. 5-7. The event will take place at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center. For tickets, go to the Symphony’s website.
