A Columbia-area man faces a lengthy prison sentence, after being convicted of four sex crimes involving a child.
A sentencing date hasn’t been set yet for 44-year-old Timothy McWilliams. He was convicted on four counts, including statutory sodomy and sexual exploitation of a minor child.
Boone County prosecutors say McWilliams molested a six-year-old girl in 2014.
In addition to facing a prison sentence, McWilliams will also be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, under state law.
Boone County Circuit Judge Jeff Harris will sentence McWilliams at a later date.
