Missouri state troopers have identified the two semi drivers who were killed in that horrific overnight crash on busy Highway 24 east of Moberly.
Highway 24 near the Walmart Supercenter remains closed at this hour.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells ABC-17’s Marina Diaz from our news partner KMIZ that the incident happened when the driver of a tractor trailer tried to turn around on Highway 24. The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report says that driver, 31-year-old Kaysamual Blanks of the state of California, was outside of his vehicle at the time of the crash, with his towed unit blocking both lanes of Highway 24. The crash report says a tractor trailer driven by 61-year-old Michael Fenner of Michigan struck the towed unit and the other driver. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Ms. Diaz tells 939 the Eagle crash scene is near Foundation Recovery Systems.
