There will be a couple of elected offices contested in Boone County this year. Dustin Stanton, the egg farmer and Republican from Centralia is seeking a rematch with Democrat Boone County Treasurer and Jena Redel. And former deputy Charles Blair will again challenge B Sheriff Dwayne Carey. In 2020, Blair became the only candidate to ever take on Carey, who is now in his 20th year as the Boone County sheriff. Last time Blair ran as a Republican. This year he’s running as a Democrat.
