Police have a suspect in custody after a shooting Friday afternoon near Cosmo-Bethel Park that caused a 20-minute “hold and secure” at three nearby schools in south Columbia. The victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital with a non-life-threating gunshot wound. 24-year-old Daqwon Jackson, of Columbia, was arrested for armed criminal action, first-degree domestic assault and possession of a controlled substance. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
