Tonight’s Columbia city council meeting has been postponed until Tuesday night due to the council agenda not being physically posted inside city hall prior to today.
City spokeswoman Sydney Olsen says the city code requires council agendas to be posted at least 24 hours in advance of a meeting on the bulletin board in the first floor hallway at city hall. The code also says the agenda can be placed on a bulletin board or another prominent place accessible to the public and clearly designated for that purpose in the building that houses the meeting.
Ms. Olsen apologizes for any inconvenience. Tomorrow’s council meeting begins at 7 pm.
