man badly beaten with ball bat

A New Bloomfield man is in jail for beating a Jefferson City man with a baseball bat. The Callaway County sheriff’s department took 29-year- old Kurt Catron into custody Monday night after they found a 62 year old seriously injured at a home on County Road 372. The victim is in serious but stable condition at University Hospital in Columbia. Catron faces several charges including assault and armed criminal action.
