Columbia woman pleads guilty in infant death

A Columbia woman pleads guilty to her role in her infant daughter’s death.

Court records show Anna Steele (above, left)  pleaded guilty Monday to abuse or neglect of a child and first-degree endangerment of a child. She was originally charged with second-degree murder of her then eight-month-old daughter.

Her then-boyfriend, Cody Baker of Ashland, was convicted in September of the child’s murder. His sentencing is Monday.
