We had the second-warmest Christmas on record. It hit 69 degrees on Wednesday at Columbia Regional Airport, 30 degrees above normal. That ties the high on Dec. 25, 1971. The Christmas record is 74 degrees, set back in 1889. The forecast called for more clouds and temperatures about ten degrees cooler on Thursday.
