Officials are blaming a strong economy for layoffs at Columbia College. Forty-nine people are losing their jobs, 25 of them in Columbia. The school said on Tuesday enrollment is down, especially among adult students, because more people are working instead of taking classes. Columbia College has 36 campuses in the U.S.
