Columbia police confirm some afternoon gunshots in the middle of town. Officers say they found evidence someone fired a handgun at about 3 p.m. Thursday near West Worley Street and Spencer Avenue, not far from West Middle School. No word anyone was hurt or anything was damaged. No arrests reported yet.
