(AUDIO): Columbia triple shooting suspect is charged

Columbia Police need your assistance in locating a suspect who’s charged with a downtown triple shooting in October.

The incident happened near busy Hitt and Locust streets, during Mizzou’s Homecoming weekend. Columbia Police detective Matt Wright says 20-year-old Donye Jackson of Columbia is charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor.

“Columbia Police are seeking Jackson, who is charged with first degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon,” Wright says.

Audio is courtesy of CPD Twitter. Columbia Police say CPD officers who were already in the area on October 21 heard gunfire and found an adult male who had been shot. They administered aid to him until EMS arrived and transported him to a hospital.

Two other gunshot victims were transported by private vehicle to a local hospital.
